A little know-how
01A light to see with, or be seen?
Compare beam shape and runtime in the mode you will use, not just the maximum lumen figure. A compact visibility light and a front light for an unlit track have different jobs. Allow charging time and carry suitable backup lighting for longer trips.
02Leave space on the handlebars
Check mount diameter and clearance around cables, bags and controls. Oi bells come in different fit options. Fit lights where bags will not cover the beam, and test the loaded bike before heading onto the Munda Biddi.
03Check Scout compatibility first
An alarm and finder is a supplement to a good lock and sensible storage. Check the current Scout model’s phone, app and network requirements before choosing it. Do not assume every finder works with every phone or provides live GPS tracking.
