A little know-how
01Big River or Ultra-Sil?
Start with where the bag will travel. A dry bag packed inside another bag has a different job from one exposed to abrasion on the outside. Compare the exact fabric, closure and intended use. Our selection includes both Big River and Ultra-Sil options; capacity alone does not tell the whole story.
02Pack in small, useful groups
Separate the items you need during the day from clothing that must stay dry. Smaller bags can make a pack easier to organise, while a large bag suits bulkier gear. Practise closing roll tops according to the model instructions; a dry bag is not automatically suitable for submersion.
03Building an overnight kit?
Sleeping bags and sleeping mats are part of Sea to Summit’s wider range. Ask us to confirm the exact models planned for Base Camp before choosing a sleep system. Match insulation and packed size to the trip, and leave room for shelter, food and water.
