A little know-how
01Looking for YETI near Perth or Dwellingup?
Base Camp is opening soon at 2 Marinup Street, Dwellingup. If you are travelling from Perth for a particular YETI bottle, ask us to confirm the model, capacity, colour, price and arrival date first. Our focus is insulated drinkware; the wider YETI catalogue is not a promise of what we will stock.
02A water bottle for walking, or a drink at camp?
Start with how you will carry and use it. For walking, check access from your pack pocket and include the weight of the full bottle. For the drive, measure your cup holder against the exact model. Around camp, consider a cup or mug if easy access matters more than a sealed bottle. Check the manufacturer’s lid and hot-liquid guidance before choosing.
03Choose the capacity you will carry
Think about where the bottle will go and how often you can refill it. Measure your pack pocket or vehicle cup holder and compare the product’s dimensions. Include the filled weight when deciding whether it belongs in a walking pack or is better suited to the vehicle and camp.
04Match the lid to the job
A cup for a hot drink at camp has different requirements from a bottle carried inside a pack. Check the exact product’s guidance for hot liquids, lid compatibility and leak resistance. Do not assume that every lid seals for transport or that every bottle suits hot drinks.
05Plan hydration beyond the bottle
Insulation and water treatment are separate things. A bottle does not make untreated water safe. Plan your water supply and any treatment around your route and current official advice. For a walking day, compare insulated drinkware with lighter carrying options before deciding what earns a place in the pack.
